Subject: 9739 Setback for Corner Lots

                                ORDINANCE NO. 9739
        
        
                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS TO
                   AMEND CERTAIN SECTIONS RELATIVE TO
                   THE SETBACK FOR CORNER LOTS.  
                  
                            __________________________
        
              	   WHEREAS, certain zone regulations need to be clarified 

         with regard to side setback requirements for corner lots; and
              	   WHEREAS, there are several zones which are not
         addressed in the section of the ordinance which regulates 
corner
         lots setbacks; and
              	   WHEREAS, the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Regional
         Planning Commission has reviewed and recommends said proposed
         amendment to the Chattanooga City Council;
                                 NOW, THEREFORE,
              	   BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
         CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as amended, 
the
         Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is hereby amended as follows:
        
              	   SECTION 1.  That the following sections be amended
         as follows:
                   A.   To the end of Sections 102(4), 202(4),
                        252(4), 302(7), 402(4), 412(4), 422(5) of
                        Article V, add the following new language:
                  
                   	     ...  For corner lot side yard
                             requirements, see Article VI, Section
                             108.
                  
                   B.	Amend the chart in Article VI, Section 108
                        so as to delete the following:

                   	Lot Width R-1 R-2, R-3 R-5 R-4 and
                        substitute in lieu thereof the following:
                  
                   	RT-1, RZ-1, R-2, R-3MD, R-3, R-4.
        
         	   SECTION 2.	  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this
         Ordinance shall take effect two weeks from and after its 
passage
         as required by law.
